Psychotherapy
(sometimes referred to as mental health therapy)
-
Psychotherapy provides a supportive, collaborative space to better understand yourself and the broader aspects that impact your cognition. Areas addressed may include navigating life's challenges, and creating meaningful, lasting change. Treatment is personalized to your unique goals and may focus on concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, life transitions, relationships, chronic illness, stress, or emotional well-being. Together, we'll build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and help you move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values.

No two therapy sessions are exactly alike because no two people are. Some sessions focus on processing emotions or navigating difficult experiences, while others are more practical—building coping strategies, improving communication, or working through challenges related to attention, executive functioning, or life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel understood and leave each session with greater clarity, insight, or tools to move forward.

In psychotherapy sessions we focus on broad support. Yes, we will still discuss strategies for coping. However, we can also explore other areas which impact you and your brain, including relationships, grief processing, trauma, and mental health challenges.
In cognitive-linguistic therapy our focus is much narrower, focusing specifically on the cognitive challenges and skills which impact how you communicate (e.g. word finding, concentration, etc.).
